Cruiser and His new kitten Ally - Havoc - 12-13-2010 A couple of un co operative pics, Cruiser still loves his play pen, I got it out for the new rescue but some things are shared not given. Ally, one week into treatment, she is doing pretty good, her brother didn't make it he died two days after I found them. [attachment=1911] and Cruiser, He is a a great Kitty, and just loves the new Kitten and of course his old play pen. [attachment=1917] [attachment=1912] RE: Cruiser and His new kitten Ally - Twilla - 12-13-2010 Poor little girl, is she going to lose her sight as well? It pains me to see kitties with infected eyes. RE: Cruiser and His new kitten Ally - Havoc - 12-13-2010 I think for sure one eye will recover , the other one is still up in the air. all I can do is treat it and hope for the best. RE: Cruiser and His new kitten Ally - MaryPat - 12-14-2010 That's all you can do with kittens eyes, we have 3 with sore eyes, all we do with them is wash them twice a day & that's it. And just hope they clear up . my lil.female siamese cat recovered pretty good, but the male is blind in one eye. It just depends on the cat. RE: Cruiser and His new kitten Ally - Twitchin Kitten - 12-14-2010 When did you get this bunch? Cruiser is huge! And gorgeous. He's a great babysitter and I bet he's telling Ally how good it is here and how to find all the good spots to hang out (when you let him out of the pen that is). I like that idea of the playpen. I never thought of that! I always use the dogs crate because it's so big. Good luck with the eyes. Poor little thing. Havoc, do you have any catalogs where you can stock up on non prescription medications? I gotta check the stickies in the animal section, I may have some there. If not , I'll stick a few links up for ease of finding. RE: Cruiser and His new kitten Ally - Havoc - 12-14-2010 I don't put either of them in the play pen, they climb in and out as they please, they like to lounge in there eat and play with the few toys. I have a hard time finding anything specifically for cats here. what I really need is antibiotics, the vets here treat you like a cash cow if you want them. RE: Cruiser and His new kitten Ally - Twitchin Kitten - 12-14-2010 OK gimme a few mins and stand by for a possible PM with info. Why the hell are you up so early? RE: Cruiser and His new kitten Ally - Twitchin Kitten - 12-14-2010 OK, the Sticky "Useful Pet Links" now has been updated with three vet suppliers that I regularly use. http://www.twitchinkitten.com/announcement-4.html these sites also offer prescription drugs if you can get a prescription from the vet. Equine vets are more apt to write you a 'scrip than the small animal vets - who DO see us as cash cows. RE: Cruiser and His new kitten Ally - Twitchin Kitten - 12-14-2010 You should stock up on Terramycin ointment. It's OTC and cheap and very good on clearing up eye infections. RE: Cruiser and His new kitten Ally - Havoc - 12-14-2010 I'm always up early, I work days and start at 7, always up by 5AM mountian time. we picked the play pen up at goodwill for 10 bucks , it really is a cool thing for the kittens, we also have a big carrier for when we leave until the kittens are accepted by the dogs, which usually only takes a couple of days. we have had ally now for about 10 days, she is doing well, she is perched on my shoulder as I type. |
