Bad pick-up line - Twilla - 11-27-2010
So I was watching a movie last night that was set in Glasgow, using Glaswegian actors (that I frequently couldn't understand) and there was a scene where our female protagonist is in a bar, talking to the guy she's been stalking for some mysterious reason and he asks if he can tell her something. He gets real close and says "I want to taste your cunt."
Okay, I get that this is supposed to be a hard man that's spent time in prison and they're in a sleazy bar but man, did that line jar me! Granted, I'm old and that word isn't one I associate with hot, steamy sex and I think of it more as an insult, but would that approach work on any of you ladies? Even "I want to taste your pussy" would have been pushing it.
By the way, the movie was "Red Road" and if you watch it, there's some pretty graphic sex scenes... graphic by American standards, anyway.

BAck to the movie line....offensive? I dunno, maybe if he said, "I want to taste your pussy, you dumb cunt", I mean he didn't actually call her a cunt, just called her cunt a cunt.

I hate that word. It's offensive no matter if the guy is calling her twat a cunt or her. My asshole ex used to call me that when we were fighting and I had him 'against the wall' in an argument. He sees nothing wrong with the word.

Weird movie... since no one here will probably ever watch it, I'll tell you the plot. She's a CCTV operator and watches the cameras of a small area in Glasgow. Lots of dogs in the movie, which probably represents some symbolism I'm too dimwitted to understand... anyway, she sees a man that looks familiar and goes out of her way to either watch him on camera or to show up where he's at. She finally insinuates herself into his life, he's attracted and uses that charming pick-up line on her, they go back to his crummy apartment and you find out he's actually a fairly nice guy, they have some pretty graphic sex (he's got his face right in her crotch for a good part of it and I don't see how they could possibly have covered her genitals for the scene,) she steals his rubber, rubs his cum into her nether regions, hits herself in the face with a rock and reports him to the police. Come to find out, he had been driving under the influence (couldn't figure out if he was drunk or on drugs, the accents were tough in this one) and killed her husband and little girl standing at a bus stop several years before. She ends up dropping the charges, confronts him on the street and manages to move on after breaking down at her parents-in-law's house. Kind of grim.

I'm just thinking that maybe....in other countries the use of the word cunt is not that offensive.
I mean it seems like the English use it a lot.
I know a foul mouth chick that uses it now and again...and it's actually kinda hot in a whitetrash, hillbilly kinda way.
Anyway, it sounds like the line worked in the movie and he got to taste her cunt.
OK, I'll admit to it, I use the word, not every day or every time I speak, but it does have it's place.

It would have sounded better though if he used the word "devour" instead of taste. Taste is a bit sissified.
