STYX! OMG Seriously? - Twitchin Kitten - 08-04-2010 I just got this in the email about presale tickets to Styx of all bands. ![]() Now I may hit the Cheech and Chong show! http://msgnyc.com/viewmsg.cfm?n35043s18671c3050606t18639 RE: STYX! OMG Seriously? - twisteroo - 08-04-2010 I work with a fat sack of douch that loves styx, but then again he has a star wars action figure collection too. Fuckhead. How the hell is ZZ Top start at $39.00? They were $100 a seat when they were around here. RE: STYX! OMG Seriously? - Twitchin Kitten - 08-04-2010 You got ripped off. I bet these guys charge way high prices in areas where they don't expect to sell out or venues that don't have a lot of seats. If not, they're butt heads. RE: STYX! OMG Seriously? - twisteroo - 08-04-2010 I wanted to go see them, but I couldn't make myself give them $100, I fell for that trick with AC/DC, then when they didn't sell out they dropped the price to $50 or something, kind of a kick in the sac to all of us that paid $100. RE: STYX! OMG Seriously? - Twitchin Kitten - 08-04-2010 Wow you paid that much for AC/DC? Holy shit. I saw them for $35 in Philly. Meatloaf was here I think last month and wanted over $100 for tickets. I couldn't bring myself to do it. I can die happy knowing I paid $20 for a ticket in 1977 and saw him up close at the St George Theater in Staten Island. RE: STYX! OMG Seriously? - kbear - 08-04-2010 I was STYX is few years back. They played with REO Speedwagon. It was a good show. RE: STYX! OMG Seriously? - LH - 08-04-2010 They are both playing @ Meadowbrook I think 40.00 a ticket.. But at the Gunter show last weekend the chicks were everywhere..........hot chicks with attitude.go figure? RE: STYX! OMG Seriously? - twisteroo - 08-05-2010 There are a lot of free shows around here. I think the Tuesday in the park ones are free. http://www.artpark.net/content/pages/2010-schedule RE: STYX! OMG Seriously? - Twitchin Kitten - 08-05-2010 Nothing is free here. When I was a kid we used to have free concerts in all the parks all the time. We had some really good local bands too. And never mind the partying! Yeah, the 70's was one big party back then and everyone was cool. RE: STYX! I remember the 70's, I was more of a teenager in the 70's but the 80's is when I was out and about....kinda, I went to Guam. ![]() |
