Britain Pissed at us for being angry? - Twitchin Kitten - 06-10-2010

Are they kidding me? Seriously - they're pissed because Obama is (finally) acting tough on the whole oil spill crisis? I mean it's taken like what? 50 days now for him to even show concern and act on this (imagine if this were bush? ha!) and Great Britain is threatening our 'friendship' over it.

I could only find a Fox News video on this and it took awhile to find ANY OTHER source of this because I found two different stories. I wasnt' sure if Fox was sensationalizing this a bit due to how different the stories are. I'll post the video first and then the links to the stories. Please read the stories to get the best perspective.

I hope they go bankrupt, course we all know that our ( USA ) government will bail them out too. Heh, I wouldn't mind owning a share or two of an oil company. Wink

Bottom line......BP should be held liable for the cleanup and damage claims levied against the company as a result of the spill. Obama "warning" them not to pay dividends IS in fact poking his nose where it does not belong. The British officials saying that this endangers US-UK relations are taking a bully pulpit position with Obama to show him he is barking a bit too loud when he gives that "warning".

Is B.O. finally taking a tough stance? Yes. Is he bumbling it? YES! Are the UK politicians going overboard? YES!!!

A bunch of political posturing going on when there should be more concentration on dealing directly with the problem.
