Very local news - twisteroo - 05-14-2010

I guess if this is the most exciting thing in the news it wasn't a bad day after all.

Quote:Woman reported riding a bike holding up a lighter

A woman was reportedly spotted riding a red bike in the area of North and State streets holding up a lighter as she peddled along.

A few minutes after the initial call, she was reported in the area of Wendy's on Main Street.

Callers report she appears intoxicated.

Batavia Police has been notified.

UPDATE: An officer on scene reports several red bikes outside the door of Wendy's.

Batavia is a quiet little area of Upstate NY - that's hysterical.

When I first move to NJ from NYC we were in rural Jackson, NJ. I used to get a kick out of reading the police reports in the paper. The worst things going on here were kids breaking into food stores and making themselves something to eat. Never robbing the cash register but leaving a mess behind.

As the town grew the crime did as well. It's not so rural there now and the kids are typical NJ assholes.
FYI - NJ has their own brand of assholes, rude people and rudeness and best of all - it's own stink.

I guess I should have linked to the story, but you know, just in case I show up in the police blotter one of these days, I don't want anyone to find out.

Batavia? Well shit! We sometimes pick up eggs from Kreher's just down the road in Clarence.
That's still a fairly quiet area.

I just happen to know where Kreher's is. Been through the area a million times, like any time I want to get to the city.

Quote:A 41-year-old Batavia woman has been charged with adultery after being caught engaged in sexual intercourse on a picnic table in Farrall Park.

The woman was arrested along with a 29-year-old Oakfield man and both were charged with public lewdness.

The man was identified by Batavia Police as Justin M. Amend.

Because the woman is married with children, The Batavian has chosen to withhold her name.

Sgt. John Peck said that Officer Matt Baldwin was dispatched to Farrall Park about 5:15 p.m. after parents in the park called police. Baldwin witnessed the couple still engaged in sex when he arrived.

"There was a little alcohol involved," Peck said. "They initially didn't seem too embarrassed."

Peck acknowledge that adultery charges are rare these days.

"Many people probably don't realize it's still a crime," Peck said.

He said Amend was not charged with adultery because he was apparently not aware the woman was married.

Both suspects were issued appearance tickets for City Court on June 8 and released.
Uh, remind me to take a disposable table cloth with me if I ever go picnic in that park.

I wish I had been there with my camera.

Always use a table-cloth when having a picnic in the park.

Oh brother! This reminds me of the time when I was first dating my ex. He had this crummy little apartment in a garden apartment complex. It was like 1 AM and we were up, just got done "having fun" and was watching out the window in the dark and some couple is strolling and talking loudly, then suddenly they dropped to his lawn and started fucking like jackrabbits.

We were laughing our asses off. Then suddenly a police cruiser came up - apparently someone else saw them and called the cops.

The guy's still going at it with her and the cop taps his shoulder with his stick. The guy yells at the cop, "Can't you see I'm busy here, get the fuck out of here and leave me alone." We were laughing our asses off! The cop grabbed him by the collar and dragged him off her and busted the both of them.

I still see that whole scenario in my head as if it happened yesterday.
