These are amazing!
You know we are still getting the ash settling here on the Jurassic Coast? Nothing like the Icelandics have though. I washed my car and within half a day it was covered in a fine film of grey powder. Every vehicle is the same. Neighbour washed his lorry Monday, it looks as if he didn't bother by today (Tuesday) and a child had written 'clean me' on the cab in the dust on its way to school.

Those are some pretty cool pics. I'm thinking good old New York, we get some snow now and again.
Also, are those horses hairier than most?

The lightening is stunning. They were showing video of that on the TV last week and "live" it's so damn cool looking.
The horses are Icelandic Ponies. They do have a thicker undercoat and slightly longer guard hairs than horses in warmer climates. They're native to Iceland.

Just saw on internet news that Ireland may have to close its air space again due to more ash coming their way
My friend gets home from Australia tomorrow! She should have been home on the sunday everthing kicked off. She will be home just in time for her daughters birthday too
