Mark has been busy, the Nova Virus is on the attack (Dee had it over the weekend).
He was at a nursery yesterday (he has a certificate of check to work with children and the elderly). Poor little mites stuck in a school from 3 months old! He said during a lull in the kitchen he took some spare pastry out for the 3 year old to roll out. They kept calling him Daddy, he loved it.
Today he is at the secure Autistic school again in the New Forest for 14 to 18 years. He likes being there the kitchen is the state of the art, no expense spared.
AND he has a job interview--- at last

I'm giving blood today. I'm either over the infection I had a couple of weeks ago or the recipient is going to get a lot of white blood cells. Win either way, right? Tongue

Either way you get a cookie and some juice.

They test the blood if anything is out of acceptable range they will throw it out. Although you may be over whatever you had by how you feel if there is any traces in the blood it could be bad.Say they gave it to say someone on chemo with a suppressed immune system they could die.

Gee, I didn't think of that, Anthony. < insert sarcasm indicator >

If you thought of it why go and waste their time and yours if by some chance your white cells were high or something was out of range?

Ugh......

Been up since 4:00 AM and I have a late assed load assignment today. I have to be at the plant for 9 AM. Generally by then I'm heading back from wherever I unloaded or at least soon to do so.

Fucking Kellogg's in Blue Anchor doesn't start receiving till 1 PM! The biggest problem is that even though I will be there on time, these jackholes may not even start unloading me till 2 PM or so. Then they take their good old time doing it.

Now think about the logistics here......Blue Anchor is 25 miles into NJ from the Walt Whitman bridge. If I get out of there at say 3 PM it will take me till around 3:30 - 3: 45 to get across the bridge which will dump me onto the fucking Schuylkill Expressway (I-76 to those who aren't familiar with the Philadelphia area) just as the fucking afternoon rush gets into full swing.

All the alternate routes will be just as congested so it's just as well to muddle through on the Schuylkill.

I'm not likely to get done (on my log book) till 7 PM. By law I must take 10 hours off in order to have a full slate for tomorrow so I won't be able to come back on duty till 5 AM at the earliest. That puts me a little later than I like for a second day. SHIT!

In reality I probably won't come through the door here at home till 8:30 - 9:00 PM.

I guess it's my turn in the barrel!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm crossing my fingers that Kellogg's has one of those rare days where they actually want to get shit done and I can be rolling by 2:15. Trust me......45 minutes makes a HUGE difference.

Ugh, I know that corridor you are driving today. Maybe you can get lucky and do a local run or two tomorrow so you don't go all haywire with your schedule? *waiting for you to reply, "No can do."!

You don't get stuck on rt 70 do you? What do you take to cross over into NJ? You know, I don't ever recall seeing a big rig on the Ben Franklin bridge - are they rerouted to the Walt Whitman? Do you go north to the turnpike extension bridge (don't know the name of that one).

RE: Early morning useless post thread - Biker Dude - 02-27-2012

As far as traffic? Oh hell yeah 45 minutes can be HUGE!

RE: Early morning useless post thread - Twitchin Kitten - 02-27-2012

I know the area LK is talking about.... it's a gigantic clusterfuck of poorly designed roads, on ramps and cloverleafs when there is no traffic, forget about when there's congestion! If you don't know the road you're doomed. You need to plot out which lane you need to be in miles before you exit or you'll never be let over.

Those damn truck drivers are the worst Run
