No idea what's irritating his lungs? I wonder if some prick tried to gas him or something. You know how some psycho kids like to torture animals.
You can see a little booger in his right nostril in one of the pics too. He's always got a runny nose from it? It definitely does not look like upper respiratory syndrome, just something that is a byproduct of another ailment - like that lung issue.

Early on he would be breathing so rough and trying to hack something up that he would barf, and his nose would bleed when he slept. He is much better with the steroids. None of the other stuff even came close, and he sure the fuck doesn't like bubblegum flavored benadryl. Who the hell says that cats like that flavor???
Anyway, we don't know, the vet don't know, he's had xrays and stuff too, next step would be the Mayo clinic and he don't want to go.
We will just juice him up now and again and as long as he doesn't get roid rage he'll be fine.

that sounds like something irritated and damaged him.
As for the bubblegum flavored meds.... you're getting kids meds for him. why were they trying benadryl for the cat? I never had a vet prescribe that for a cat for anything. I've had sweet flavored antibiotics and they hate them. That Keflex orange flavor is another one they can't stand and the Augmentin with that bubble gum flavor is another nasty shit made for children but vets like it for some reason.
I never understand why they don't make meat flavored meds for pets. I have tuna flavor for Chucky's daily medicine for his thyroid. He still hates that shit. It smells nasty.

We tried to give him the bubble gum shit once, it was as bad as those worm pills at the vets that they just hate, he was drooling and spitting and running around the house drooling on every rug he could find trying to get even with us.
