WELLLL Just cause I stopped posting doesn't mean I stopped saving! LOL.. so my latest endevour due to maxines food allergies is to get set up to can and freeze once again! In my mad hunt I have come across some great bargains. Now it's the initial set up that sets you back especially when canning! Those jars lids and rings for the jars are NOT cheap.. So brand new is a tough thing to do financially...

Same price here.
If you look around you can get them under $10/case and if you keep on top of yard sale and "sell it cheap" sites you can get them as low as .30 each with lids and rings. Just have to sort through and weed out the chipped/damaged ones!

I can't be bothered. It's easier and cheaper to just go buy the things instead of trying to find some yard sale and spending an hour rummaging through shit to find good ones. At least around here anyway.

did you know if you go to a yard sale some idiot thinks that he deserves new prices for crap you saw for much less elsewhere.. and HIS idea of new prices are so fucked you want to smack him?Case in point lady offered me 50 jars without rings or lids wanted 75 cents a piece. I would have to drive to get the stuff.. gas cost $20 bucks, LOL and i would have to buy the rings and lids for about $4.65 a dozen. to get it to bargain prices I would want them for 10-15 cents a piece and um she would not WANT that price for her crap.. end result NO SALE!
But on a similar site I did find a foodsaver vacum sealer for $25.00 instead of $63.00 brand new.. Wonderful for a starter item with NO serious repercussions if we really end up not using it!
