4 boards, 3 more coats to go. Then they come upstairs to set up in the heated room before I put them on the shelves.
Friggin' Home Depot... a 12" board measures less than 11 1/2". Stupid bracket sticks out the front a bit.

I'm done! I can start moving in later tonight / tomorrow Yahoo
I just need Matt to drill holes in the desktop for wires to go down to the outlets. I have electricity under the desk and that's all I need for now. Matt can finish up the technical stuff later and work around me.

I'm so happy I can bring up the "electric chair" soon too!

Well, I'm in! Not going to be fully moved for awhile. Matt got busy drilling wire holes in the desk and forgot to finish the electrical outlet in the closet for the stereo. I can't move my stuff onto those shelves until he does. But I got my computer here and we seem to have to rethink a few locations of equipment due to the wires and ability to open lids on scanners and such. You'd think a 12" shelf would be wide enough. Gah

Measure twice, cut once.Headpoke

Not a matter of measuring. The scanner fits, but it's near impossible to open the lid and use it. I'd need a 20" shelf and I don't want that hovering over my head.

Cut a notch for the lid, measure the notch twice and cut once.Headpoke

Nope. It's the wall. it' presses up against the wall and pushes the scanner off the front of the shelf by 6 inches.

Oh, that's easy. Just nail a 6" scrap of plywood to the shelf.

No. Ain't going to have the "overhang" like that above the desk. Going to try the closet connection first. Smile I also do have room on the desk if necessary but I'd rather not if I can help it.

OK I know I keep promising photos but we're STILL working on moving in here. Been at it all day today and looks like most of tomorrow is going to be dedicated to this except for a couple hours of shooting at some point.

I don't want to take pics of the room while it's still cluttered up. I want to finish sorting all the utter crap from the other room and find a place for everything in this room. If I can't find a place it's getting chucked.

The 'electric chair' made it up from the basement today! Yahoo I'm going to strip that down and refinish it in the late spring.
