Oh hell LH! We just did something like that in the basement with a broken hose and the washing machine! I do not envy you.
Today's rant - every time I see Steven Tyler I want to smash his hideous face with a brick. He's constantly on TV with commercials for that insipid American Idol. The man is hideous and every time I hear someone say how hot he is I vomit a little in my mouth.

over 10,000 in damage will need new kitchen cabinets new lino (after they remove the asbestos under it, new wood floors in my sons room, new walls in the cellar, new rugs, new bed and on and on........I'm doing inventory and will put down 800 gallons of water electricity to run all these (15) drying fans bla bla

hopefully, the adjuster thinks so. The asbestos removal people are coming over today and he said over the phone about 1,800.00 I hope insurance covers that.

I always wind up doing the exact opposite of whatever advice I'm given in HD. Except for those Shark Bite plumbing things. Those are great!
You're lucky you can get someone to help you in your HD - most times the morons are hiding and I have to force one out of their mouse hole.
