I occasionally have black pudding as part of a Sunday breakfast fry up.

Blood sausage though? Barf

It's the same thing. Black pudding, otherwise known as blood sausage, is a dark sausage stuffed with animal blood seasoned and cooked with fillers such as bits of meat, suet, oats, or barley and congealed until solid. Various cuisines around the world incorporate versions of black pudding. The fillers, seasonings, and type of animal blood used vary according to regional tastes and local availability.

Pffft and you call me a philistine. You don't even know what the hell you're eating.

Cajun sausage being cooked. That is what it looks like before it's ready for the grill. I have not eaten blood sausage in a few years and now will have to get some tonight. Nobody in my house eats it and I may get some "quiet time" for a change.Yahoo

Bullshit.

I have tasted black pudding and blood sausage and they taste NOTHING like each other, they also have a different texture and colour FACT.

Wikipedia is not the word of the God of cuisine.

Agreed. Yuck.

You either like it, or hate it....I hate the stuff!
You have to wonder about the people that came up with the idea.

"Hey, here's an idea, lets make a spread that looks like axil grease, and tastes of shit" ..."if no one goes for it, we can always supply it to the horror movie industry, they're always looking for weird repugnant looking slimy stuff"

Last time I swallowed any blood I was vomiting violently for hours. During surgery I managed to swallow blood.

People are not meant to 'drink' blood, that's why there is no such thing as vampires. We vomit violently if we drink raw blood.

Cooked may be a different matter but we have come a long way from having to scrounge the last bits of a carcass to make a meal to survive.

You can choose to eat whatever you want, but I laugh at people who deplore blood drinking or blood related food then tuck into a rare or blue steak.
