The McDonalds is hysterical. I bet the place is packed with Arabs too all the while bitching about how Americans are horrible. My friend Kenny sent me a mess of stuff when he went over to Afghanistan. He's in the RAF - haven't heard from him in years now and him and his wife have not replied to emails Sad
He sent me a cheesy plastic alarm mosque (never worked) and the Saddam playing cards and some patches he had. Some "illegal" images too - he went from flying Harriers and into ATC and in the ATC control room, they got hit with rockets one day. Kenny took pics while under fire! I will dig them up and post them. He's not in Afghanistan anymore so I assume it's OK to post them.

Thanks for deleting that, TK. I dunno what happened there.

It's pollution mixed with some dust. SMOG. It's horrible, but makes for interesting sunsets and sunrises. It's hot, smells bad (though you get used to it and don't smell it at all after a time) you always feel dirty.

Yea, someone spray painted over Saddam's face. I think that Micky D's might be in Kuwait, but they have all sorts of shit near the Green Zone like that. Also, they use Dinars as opposed to rupees. I have Iraqi and Kuwaiti dinar. I picked up a Koran entirely in Arabic, as well as the prayer rug they use. I bought my mom an authentic Persian carpet too.

I remember some of the fake rolex's and suit makers too.
