RE: Orange Bob - twisteroo - 12-06-2014 Orange Bob's human gave us $20 for the food and stuff we gave him. Geeze....so not necessary. She was glad to be taking him home. RE: Orange Bob - BarEdul - 12-08-2014 Awe.. that was so sweet of her. So rarely the temporary care takers even get a thankful.. I don't know about there but here we have a program called Greys and Strays. It is targeting stray care takers who are being loaded up with ferral cats, or cats "dumped by owners now to poor or WRONG. who are dumping pets on others" This program allows you to get a basic rabbies shot AND nuetering for a ferral cat that you want to prevent from adding to the world of homeless cats. THE OMG price for spaying of a ferral is $35. as a care taker you take your lost/dumped cats in they will nueter and give them their rabies and basic check up for the $35 payment. They transport the cat to the charity vet and then return him to you safely. They feel this is MUCH more humane if you care enough to feed and watch over them than having them dumped ON VERY over loaded shelters who are now destroying too small kittens in full litters. Or older or maimed cats. I hearald this program! As a victim of ruthless dumpings of lost and afraid animals who have collar rings, rare cats such as Manx, persians, long and short, maine coons and siamese long and short. I am frustrated and furious that people buy any animals and then do NOT do research on animal personalities prior to the purchase. YOU have a heart of gold for your diligence! God bless you this christmas! RE: Orange Bob - twisteroo - 12-08-2014 Eh, she probably wouldn't have gotten him back if I were catless. No really, I'll feed any hungry cat a few dogs and some raccoons, sometimes a possum, and even a few skunks. That sounds like a great program because the costly part of taking car of them is the vet visits and spaying and neutering. I dunno how many strays we've taken in over the years, had fixed, fed, taken to the vet when sick, etc, etc... RE: Orange Bob - Twitchin Kitten - 12-08-2014 Speaking of raccoons, how is Rocket doing? You haven't said anything about him in a long time. RE: Orange Bob - twisteroo - 12-09-2014 I think Rocket must have tried to cross the road. We have not seen him in a few years. RE: Orange Bob - Twitchin Kitten - 12-09-2014 aww I liked him.
