RE: My first ad on... - twisteroo - 09-06-2010 OK, I just posted some junk on CL. Wanna make a bet who unloads their crap first? you think I'm asking too much, it's gonna hit the fire pile if nobody buys it. http://rochester.craigslist.org/atq/1939726459.html RE: My first ad on... - BarEdul - 09-06-2010 Hey thats a nice sewing cabinet,,,, hope you sell it the burn pile is a shame but kids now days (snicker) don't appreciate true storage devices like they use to make them RE: My first ad on... - Twitchin Kitten - 09-06-2010 Oh that is a nice sewing chest! Yes, TK sews. If I were closer to you I'd drive up and take it. RE: My first ad on... - kbear - 09-06-2010 Oh, I wish I was closer too! I want it bad!!! Look at the crochet stuff I could put in there. That is really nice!!!! RE: My first ad on... - Twitchin Kitten - 09-06-2010 It's a nice, well made chest too, isn't it Kim? The ones like it now are pure crap. Cardboard and vinyl mostly and probably won't last a year. RE: My first ad on... - twisteroo - 09-07-2010 Not even a bite yet, not even spam. I suppose the spammers will be getting active this morning some time. I dunno, the thing is missing a screw in on of the hinges and the handle needs to be attached somehow, it must have had some screws or pegs in it or something, there is also a little split in the handle, some wood glue and a clamp you would never know it was there. I should drag some other stuff out, there is a couple of rocking chairs and crap up there too. Who the hell can really sit in a rocking chair anyway? I don't mean a big old front porch style rocking chair with giant wide flat arms on it, just a skinny little cane seat rocker, what the hell good was it? RE: My first ad on... - twisteroo - 09-07-2010 http://rochester.craigslist.org/atq/1939990209.html I got a question for all you musical guys, I have something like this laying around somewhere, probably not in quite as good as shape as this thing. Could it really be worth that much? RE: My first ad on... - kbear - 09-07-2010 (09-06-2010, 09:53 PM)Twitchin Kitten Wrote: It's a nice, well made chest too, isn't it Kim? It is just junk! I won't bring it home. You sure can fix all of that stuff. I now Bruce could fix it up for sure. RE: My first ad on... - twisteroo - 09-07-2010 I wonder if I can find a box to put it in, and a bunch of bubble wrap? RE: My first ad on... - Twitchin Kitten - 09-07-2010 A box and newspaper would work. The musical instruments...... YES. I'm betting that banjo is going much cheaper. We've got an old upright (double) bass we need to restore. Matt traded it for some work. It was sitting in some old man's attic for ages, apart. I need the glue and have no way to know what kind or where to find it so I can start fixing it up. Yes, I will be doing the grunt work on this. I've become Matt's luthier. The bass was brought here with him after WW2. Everything is stock, but the bow broke (not the strings, the wood) |
