I've got a co-worker that's getting on my nerves. Really nice lady but I think she's so used to telling her (adult) children and elderly mother what to do, that she can't have a normal conversation. I said my a/c wasn't working yesterday when we got into the 80s and my apartment was kind of hot. She said I better get it fixed before the weather gets any hotter. Oh really? Thanks for the suggestion because I would NEVER have thought of that myself. She's like that with everything, she always seems to think I can't figure something out, or I'm wrong about something... everything seems to be an argument.
Here's another example. We've got a four person cubicle next to us where the building's 'laborer' has taken up house. That's fine, he's a nice guy and he's usually out working. Well, he has about 5 - 6 other guys in other buildings that he works with and they like to come over and use the cubicle as their breakroom. They get on someone's computer and play online, they leave trash, they move her chair across the room and leave it there after adjusting it to a different height than she had it, etc. I said how that was getting on my nerves, especially the computer use and she got kind of huffy saying "why do you care"? Because it's my fucking office and I wouldn't want them messing with my stuff, why the hell do you think? That one really pissed me off.
It sounds stupid and petty on my part but that shit keeps happening all day long and it's tiring.

You have some real shits for coworkers, Twilla. Next time they're in the 'game room' walk over yourself and tell them they are disrupting your work environment and if they would kindly keep the ruckus down you'd appreciate it. If they mock you or give you grief, take the gloves off.

As far of your first example with your co worker it just seems like shes reaffirming your situations, I think half the reason most people bring up something in general is we look for either reinforcement or to just vent. I wouldn't really hold that stuff against her but, her saying why do you care especially when you are defending her work space? That's kinda dick on her part and you should totally cunt punch her for that(not really, well maybe).

I wish I could get across how fucking irritating it is... she's always stating the obvious and then grilling me about it, like she thinks I don't understand or she really, really enjoys lecturing. Something like "looks like it's raining" "yes, it's raining and you're going to get wet. do you have an umbrella? make sure you open your umbrella when you get outside or you're going to get wet. do you know how to open your umbrella?" Because obviously no one would think of taking their umbrella, much less opening it, when it's raining.
I'll keep that cunt punch in mind if she really pisses me off.

PS it reminds me a lot of when Havoc tried to walk me through how to buy lottery tickets. Because I'm obviously too stupid to do it without his help.

It gets to me too - Matt does it and I know why. It's from having to deal with idiots all day long. He just can't seem to separate it and leave outside the door when he comes home. Between the morons at work and the customers, he's learned how to talk "idiot" and it turns out he needs it more often than not. I get so exasperated sometimes!
It frustrates you because you're dealing with the same shit I gather. Havoc made it worse because online is your place to get away from the day to day shit and relax and here he was, goading you every step of the way.

Yeah, it's super classy.
Okay, last example, I know I'm boring everyone. She's always correcting me, especially in front of other people. One example off the top of my head, I said how they were finally going to get some wood chips for the "landscaping" in front of our building and because it's apparently really important to be accurate, she interrupts me to say "wood bark". Yeah, thanks. Otherwise no one would have had any idea what I was talking about.
