I wouldn't either. But a non show puppy or rescue back to the breeder would be just fine with me.
4K is a lot of money for a dog. ANY dog.

I can still want one though! Doesn't mean I'll get it. Every animal I have is something that was dumped off on us or rescued in one way or another. I've never bought an animal including horses.

We have a pit bull mix/mutt from the pound. She is so passive and needy. If you sit down, she sits on top of your feet just to be as close as possible to you. We had another dog, who ran away and we never found. She got frightened from fireworks and bolted across the invisible fencing. Sad I am sure this is part of the reason Tessa is so needy now. She used to be such a bitch to Lucy. I bet she's sorry now that she's gone......I know we all miss her.

Dogs don't miss their 'pals' like you're describing. Tessa was always a needy dog and she's happy that the other one is gone.

My Daisy is the same way. Goliath often goes to the kennels when we have overnight guests for any period of time longer than one night. It's safer that way. Daisy is a completely different dog when he's gone. She's not jealous, no jumping when guests walk in the door, no being annoying for attention and no unnecessary barking for every little noise she hears.

Bring him home, she's back to her same jealous antics.

Those invisible fences are a joke. I've seen a lot of dogs bolt right though them. I also think using any kind of shock on the neck to control your animals or train them is just cruel. I tried a shock collar on myself and I can say first hand it's goddamn painful. Those things should be illegal.

You're kind of kinky, aren't you?

Maybe Biggrin

I've tasted all their food at some point too. Barf
I've also touched my horses electric fencing to see what it felt like too. That was NOT fun but that fencing did NOT require a collar around the horses necks!
