Is it worn stingray leather? I was thinking a wallet at first but there is some stain on it, but its definitely now got me thinking some sort of exotic leather.

It could be ostrich leather but the bumps are too close and not high enough. It could be something stamped though.

Still looks like some kind of tile work to me. This one has me puzzled.

OK, it might not actually be leather. Think something that was probably always made out of leather but as things got cheaper and stuff, probably only the good ones are still really leather.

bottom of a shoe, I remember I had shoes as a kid with a weird texture like that, and thats how it looked when they got worn out.
