Ah yes......FARCEBOOK. I think I'll just go and post all sorts of banal shit about my life and maybe toss in a smattering of other potentially embarrassing or damaging shit so the entire world can see it. Then I can sit back and occupy my time wondering why oh why bad things are happening to me.

And your privacy. Use a yahoo email account you don't care about and lock down your privacy Twist. You'll be spammed up the wazoo and unless you put your privacy to friends only, anything you post will show on a friend's wall and if they have friends of friends or public, your shit is posted everywhere as well. It's a vicious circle of bullshit.

Which was a shame because I saw it as a good way to keep the mind active (I'm not going senile and I'm doing crosswords-ever)
FB is good to keep in touch with those too far way to see and talk to often. My family and friends are very far flung

Trudi......if you want some online games to occupy the old grey matter, you might find something at addicting games.com. THOUSANDS of games there! Some are pretty good, some are lame or shitty. BUT, you sure can have some fun looking for ones you like and just bookmark them for later play.

As for family and friends, what did they do to contact you before facebook? I bet they emailed you! Tell 'em to try that again.
Facebook keeps finding ways to get your private info and they DO sell it other vendors. Unless you have some kind of Nazi spam filter on your email, that's where this stuff comes in. They also have you targeted all over the internet. How? Notice many of the ads are for things you've once searched for, or things you may have once clicked on? I wonder how that happened?
