I am pretty sure my dogs would kill someone hurting the cats too.

My stray Scruffy cat is everyone's buddy now, rolling at your feet, rubbing your legs. He as a visit to the vet coming up on Monday. I'm saving the lopping of balls for another visit.

He's cautious about me still. It's only a week. He'll stay within 3 feet of me but he does come running when I call him.
He drank two full bowls of water yesterday and I topped it off on my way back. He's full of fleas. So full it's got him distracted that I could have walked up and grabbed him if I wanted to. But since I was in shorts, not protected and had nothing to stick him into, I left him be.
I sat with him for a few minutes on my ride home. He sat 3 feet from me the whole time. Was making half hearted attempts to come to me, thought better of it and plunked his skinny ass down. I did get a silent meow out of him. Those are only given out when they feel you are their human. I say that was big progress.
If he lets me touch him I'll bring some Frontline for him on the next trip
Help with those fleas.

He's gotta be close to cracking.
When my Scruffy cat gave up I got some flea drops for kittens and petted him and grabbed him by the scruff of his neck and gave it to him. He never even knew it.
I gave him the kitten stuff figuring that he is pretty skinny and I wasn't sure how he would react.

I certainly hope you have INDOOR cats. If not then the only good place for them is in the grooves of my tires. Fact.
