I reported the issue and hopefully we'll figure this out.
I can always turn off the auto/system PM on giving but I would then have to suggest you send a message to the recipient on that so they know who gave them the gift and who to thank.
Gimme till tomorrow when I see what the answer is on the developer's site.

Well actually yes right now! the bug in the system tells you it sends yourself stuff when someone sends you stuff!
