My first week only working 4 days.
As a day off it started not so great, I didn't wake up til 8am, so no worries. Did some cooking got the linen packed for my aunt when she arrives for her holiday on saturday from the States.
Got ready to go and help mum and dad pack (going on holiday with said aunt)
then it went pear-shaped:
couldn't find the keys to the Renault,
couldn't fit the linen on my motorbike,
decide to make two trips so repack the linen and towels,
bike doesn't start.

Phone mum to say I might be a little late:
second attempt to find Renes keys
second attempt to start motorbike.

Sod it- take the camper!Finger
The Saab has finally gone for its re-spray and re-fit Yahoo
The Fiat is booked in for its tattoo job Yahoo

First day off
Last Bike night (I chose the 1940's Triumph and it won)

Awful quiet around here today.

We managed to get the pool closed before the rains started up again. I still have some things to pack up, put up and clean up but they can wait now until the rains pass.

I hate winter.

What do you have to do to close down an above ground?

RE: The Completely Pointless Thread - Twitchin Kitten - 10-03-2010

Same as an inground pool. Chemically treat it for the winter, vacuum out any leaves and dirt from the bottom and get the cover on it.

I have a new kitty!!!
He comes around after dark and eats food out of the dish outside, he is black and white and has a big fluffy tail.
He runs right up on the deck along with Patch and Tuxedo J. in the morning when I put the food out.
He is kind of mean and hogs up the food dish.
I have not gotten a picture of him yet as I am afraid that I will scare him.
He was eating the other morning and I had to get going to work, I actually had to go out the front door so I wouldn't scare him.

My new stink kitty is the best!!!Heart

So did you name him Pepe'?

RE: The Completely Pointless Thread - Twitchin Kitten - 10-04-2010

Aww, he sounds like he's been hungry for awhile, that's why he's 'mean' with the food. He'll settle down once he knows the routine. Someone must have spread the word to come live there. I had a stray I used to feed, Charles, and he would bring around tons of cats to hang around in the barn.

Twitch, my new stink kitty is a skunk.
I don't really want him hanging around, He was here this morning but we had not put food out yet.
I have to wait till it gets light out or he will keep eating it all.

RE: The Completely Pointless Thread - Twitchin Kitten - 10-04-2010

Well that certainly went right over my head. Blush

Hmm.... last encounter we had with a skunk was when Goliath shook one to death. That shit fucked up his lips permanently. Where they never drooped, now they do. He stunk for days too and the worst part was we had to drive 8 miles home with him in the car. We brought him to the new house right after we got the fence up so he can get used to the place while we were prepping it to move in.

I don't know of any way to keep him out of the yard. You don't want him stinking up the cats either. About 5 years ago, one of those stinkers sprayed the house right by the window for the computer room I kept smelling it and couldn't figure who got 'hit'. Then we decided to really get under the overhang in the front of the house and lo and behold! The little fucker sprayed the insulation they had tacked up under there. It was awful.
