We have stolen his thread. Top Gear 'hate' caravan's (I see it was mentioned in the clip) so the producer sent them on a caravan holiday. They had to buy and car and caravan suitable. Clarkson is 6ft 4 (I think) so he bought a 6ft 4 caravan. He ended up sleeping in the car. James May sensibly bought a twin axle 4 berth job and I can't remember what Hamster got but I do remember he got it stuck in a lane out on the Purbecks (we were out on our bikes at the time) and the road was closed while it was dragged out of a ditch. They camped in Weymouth about an hour from here- a typical caravan resort. It was a great programme but a nightmare for those involved. James May tried to cook french fries (chips here) and the caravan caught fire. It almost took the caravan next door with an elderly couple in it. The Fire Brigade turned up and the resort manager went mad about the bad publicity. (Actually it wasn't, everyone wants to book the pitch James May set fire to) Their Specials are not just entertaining but very factual - how not to travel abroad and the problems to consider. The one they did from Florida was panned- it was so stupid of them (BBC told them they couldn't do the US like that again). They have done some brilliant one though- across a Salt plain in Africa, The North Pole the Amazon and the one I liked was Taking 3 Top of the range sports cars from a 5* hotel in Paris to Monte Carlo. The hotel had an underground carpark. The Lamborghini was too wide to get out so they to take the wing mirrors off. Then the ramp on the street was too high so passersby helped lift it up. The Ferrari was too low for the street too. The Veyron couldn't turn the corner onto the street. The main part was just trying to leave Paris. Having driven through Paris with Mark I really felt sorry for them. Nightmare place to drive.

0 I never implied you did, but aiming into such a small opening would be difficult for a normal sized guy. Do you have Japanese blood?
