New small business and my frustration with it.

There is a business trend in the USA. Some of it is called vendor companies. For a small fee to a insane fee you stock and sell everything from stuffed animals to zebra finger nails. You go to fairs or shows and sell these items and make money charge taxes etc. Sorta like AVON. Bu I find that the smallb business model is struggling with the four letter word WORK. How many of you have gone to a company with hours posted to find it closed with no particular reason for just the day it should be open?

Small businesses are becoming a rarity around here. Mom & Pop stores are ignored compared to chain bullshit shops that pop up like NYC cockroaches all over. NJ is the land of unoriginality, rip offs and shopping malls.

You want Mom & Pop you have to go into the city now and they too are starting to fill up with Kmart and other chains, but they're limited mostly to the midtown area where the tourists are.

We have a pathetic epidemic here and it makes you wonder about what they are truly selling. They start out well enough plenty of product good original ideas with reasonable over head correct pricing. What fails is when it comes to the dedication of work ethic and hours put in. Wether male or female the permanent business site owners are not doing the work needed by showing up regularly for the hours they post then losing business an thus shutting down with total loss and bill default. unbelievable.
