wedding cars
Hope to get some more posted. A bit cross with Mark, yes he was totally left to pack the camper while I was at work and he got fed up with me saying 'have you packed..?'
Day of the wedding he gave me the camera to take photo's (we were not having a great start, banks cards not working, phone decided to retire, the restaurants had really put the prices up for the tourist season), I said 'shouldn't we be there?' ' 'Plenty of time wedding is at 2pm' 'Well it is 20 to already' 'Plenty of time' 'Doesn't it mean we have to actually be sat in the hall at 2 though' 'Nah, loads of time' The 5 wedding cars arrive early and we were still in a book shop- Start getting some photo's on my all singing all dancing camera (ok Marks' camera) *blip- look at the screen CARD FULL It only has recorded 30 photo's! Card Full? Ebay!- Delete *Blip CARD FULL ![]() He only put a 64MB in it. At least he had put a card in it this time ![]() ![]() Bond Bugs and the ice cream van that came hurtling into the village hall car park at the end of the reception! It was a wedding present (bride and groom still haven't found out who sent it) Free Ice Cream ![]() Mark had two

RE: wedding cars
Bond Bugs!
Two seat Reliant, very popular in the '70s if you didn't have a driving license.![]() ![]() ![]() They all came in orange, but the blue/orange one was in a commercial so is a one off for a comedy on TV. This Bug belongs to our friend Richard who was the Bridegroom. He had to replace the canopy on a trip to Sweden. ![]() This was one Mark took when they went on a road trip, both he and Philip got to go as passengers, while I had to go to work for the day. ![]() This is Liz

RE: wedding cars
Those are some funny looking vehicles! They allowed you to drive them without a license?
I've never seen one before today. I have no idea what you're talking about so here's a bunny with a pancake on it's head

RE: wedding cars
You can drive them on a full motorbike license. They were built during the fuel crisis in the 1970's. It was the thing to have (apparently) if your girlfriend didn't like bikes.
Robin Reliant isn't the same but same principal, with 4 seats. I remember Lawrence one of the bikers in the flat above before I got married came into the shop one day to tell me he had sold his Triumph for one. His girlfriend was pregnant, so he thought it was the best move. Bet he regrets it (unless he still has it of course, they are worth a fortune) Now you see why you have to get over here one day? We are 'bonkers', you would fit in so well

RE: wedding cars
I'd love to go but I just don't see being able to afford it. Not until the economy turns around at least and I don't see that happening anytime soon

RE: wedding cars
Here's a US contribution to 3 wheeled vehicles. They were manufactured in Frackville, Pa. That's just 14 or so miles up the road from me.
