Virginia just had a 5.8 magnitude earthquake. I was on the phone with my insurance rep and she had to hang up "because the building was shaking". I told her go! GET OUT!

Then I called Matt to see if his boss heard anything over his radio and Matt said he was but a mile up the road and felt his car shaking from side to side.

My agent's office is 20 miles north of me in Freehold.

I couldn't make calls to Matt on my landline so I tested it and called my brother up in Hazlet. He felt it too. 35 miles north of me.

Bro tells met to turn on Fox News that it's all over the news. Yep, earthquake.

I went to find out what happened and someone told me that is was a earthquake!

You didn't feel it in Florida did you? I'm waiting for that hurricane to hit this week too. Going to skirt / miss the Tampa Bay area once again I swear that area of Florida is charmed. I don't think they've had a direct hit in like 80 years or something astounding like that.

Hopefully, Hurricane Irene misses all of Florida and turns further east and stays out to sea.

There were people on the news here that said they felt it around Scranton/Wilkes-Barre which is north of me but I nor MaryPat and Barb felt nothing.

Obama will probably announce that this quake occurred along the Bush's fault line.

Irene may make landfall as a cat 3 or better somewhere between GA and SC according to current tracking.
