The link works for me. Pretty fucked up. They say that quake changed our time by some milliseconds and that Japan is now moved west about 13 miles.

Our accountant's son is in Japan right now. Mom's making excuses out of that as to why he hasn't filed it yet. NO EXCUSES! He promised to file Thursday.

Really? the last dead count I heard was around 10,000 people. I would think that's hardly enough to cause a shortage. Did it go up since this afternoon?

Talk about devastation. The real death toll may never be known. Basically they must count those missing/unaccounted for as dead after about 2 weeks realistically, and add them to the number of known dead.

Not to be morbid or the harbinger of death yet to come but, watch and see if there isn't more earthquake and volcanic activity than is normal all around the Pacific rim over the next few months. Massive geological activity such as happened near Japan is bound to cause imbalances all around the "ring of fire".

They were saying that last night on the news. Small tsunami's hitting the west coast did more damage than expected and they're trying to get Obama to declare it a disaster and send $$ there. I think he's pretty confident it's all good since he was out golfing someplace tropical over the weekend and then off to some party.

The world is going to hell in a handbasket and he's out there playing. Good

We had a note from No1 son's friend in San Francisco discribing the tidal change and the damage to the harbours- sounded surreal.

All her husband whinged on about was how long the breakdown truck was going to be to come and jump-start his motorbike. She was totally dumbstruck at him, there they were witness to a natural phenonomenon. Mind you I wonder if she would have been the same if it was her bike?
