There's a Little Rascals marathon on TCM today. Mom called and said if she knew sooner, she'd have let me know as it started yesterday. They are showing some really old stuff - the silent ficks and episodes.

And I'm guessing there was no Petey {as we know him} until the talkies started? They have a dog, a lovely brown pit bull but I have no clue the name. I also notice a lot of pits in the films I've been watching. It's as if there are no other breed of dog back then.

Provided the info is correct, and it does seem to be......Pete the Pup was introduced in the mid 20's but before the "talkies" debuted in 1928.

I remember a poor dalmation dog that someone had that used to get the black marker circle around his eye somehow when I was a kid.
