I was just wondering because the guy wouldn't go for the trade to the Nevada 3.0 at my bike shop.
I'm going to try to have him trade me the Giant Rincon that I like and give him the difference in price. Maybe he'll go for that trade. If not, I'll hit a different shop and see what I can fenagle.

I dunno, they are in business to make money. You don't see many bike shops that deal in used or take trades of any kind....but you never know. Hell, I had the guy at the tire shop take two of my truck tires in on trade for four new ones.

If I owned the shop I'd do it. It's good business. He is a Fuji dealer so I don't see what is the issue especially if I offered to make it so he has no out of pocket expense and makes his profit.

Hopefully you can work something out.

I just got my handlebars today and have my cables and brakes all in the basement. Now I'm ready to start putting everything back together and see if it all works. 1000 pics will follow.

I'll keep it and just make them change the shifters. It's a good bike either way for me and I can always buy a different one down the line.

I might be a shifter expert by the end of the week, after I recable my new mountain bike.
When I took the frame into the bike shop to measure and cut cable casings, the guy at the shop liked it.

Well, it looks like I'm not getting my bike from Marlboro until June! I got a 'consolation' gift of a tiny leatherman tool with a note saying the request for the Fuji bikes were more than they expected and they hope to get the bike out to me by June but hopefully sooner. Please accept this little trinket as an apology for the delay.

Is that leatherman really a tiny one, or a regular one? A leatherman tool is pretty expensive.
An the bright side, I have that full suspension mountain bike just bout done. I have about $300 into it total, including buying the bike, new chain, cassette, brakes, and cables, and handlebars. I can't wait to ride it. All I really have to do is recheck everything and make sure it is tight and adjust the seat and shifter and brake levers.

It's a tiny one and instead of a pliers, the thing is a pair of scissors. I'll take a pic of it tomorrow.
