I'm using a free dial up service here in Michigan called DialInFree. Its provided as a public service by a Michigan based BroadBand ISP.
Lately I've been getting some amazingly insane speeds for dialup.
I've got several screenshots of it. Now keep in mind that 147Kbps (kilobaud/sec) is 14.7KBps (kilobytes/sec). Still, thats pretty high throughput for dialup. It gets better though, I didn't capture a screenshot fast enough, but a download I was doing was going at 128KBps, yes thats the B not the b!! I was able to nab a screenshot of it at 48.3KBps though. Sure this is spotty, and never lasts more than 2-3 minutes... but while it does last its very nice.
The crazy download:
Download Running Insane DialUp Speed.PNG (Size: 13.92 KB / Downloads: 16)
And 3 shots of the Network monitor with the crazy high speeds otherwise:
105 Kbps DialUp.PNG (Size: 20.25 KB / Downloads: 16)
And 125 Kbps DialUp with graph.PNG (Size: 21.72 KB / Downloads: 17)
Lastly 147 Kbps DialUp with graph.PNG (Size: 22.23 KB / Downloads: 16)
