0 I went to St Petersburg when I was 17 to see the Summer Palace. It was amazing, even though much of it had been destroyed by the Government (one room should have had just leaf gold ceiling to floor). Peter the Great was an engineer and also a practical joker. The water garden was beautiful but full of fun. My friend sat on a bench to see what she had for lunch and there she had to stay, the pressure of her sitting down sets pumps to produce a fountain to pour a wall of water over the seat!
