Nice, we'll be in AC tonight and who the hell knows HOW we'll be tomorrow!

What day are they racing? All weekend including Monday or it ends on Sunday?

Are they in Englishtown?
And am I the only person left alive to call the top fuel dragsters 'rails' ?

Sweet - thanks! I'm awful with checking the TV guide.
They only have NASCAR on the Speed channel today too. I'm not a big fan of NASCAR, it's boring just watching them go round and round the track.

What's funny is that when I was a kid I always liked to watch the Indy car races when you would get them on TV.

Same here. The open wheel cars are a bit more interesting than the NASCAR stuff though. I gave up on NASCAR roundy round racing when they started passing out the rule books like: OK Mr Allison, here's yours, now Mr. Busch, here's yours but it isn't the same as Mr Allison's so don't get your copies mixed up. Mr Ernhardt, if you don't like yours, how can we accommodate you? Mr Penske, which of your drivers needs theirs changed to suit them?

At least the Indy cars all play from the same book and they are allowed to be innovative within the rulebook. If somebody figures something out in NASCAR that's within the rules and they realize a performance advantage it all depends on WHO does it that will affect whether or not it's allowed. What a bunch of bullshit!

What else frosts me about those morons running NASCAR is that if something occurs that turns out to be a safety issue, it takes them forever and a day to act on it, that is if they even DO act upon it. They always go the "We're looking into it" route.

At least the Indy guys do something in a fairly timely fashion. Now NHRA does something absofuckingloutly immediately!

When it was determined that the cause of John Force smacking the wall 2 years ago was due to the newly mandated tires needing more than 4psi pressure, they mandated that all cars falling into the category mandating that tire would, from that moment on, run no less than 7psi for funnycars and 6psi for dragsters. When did they do this? Before the next pair of cars made their passes! Basically they revised the safety standards as they were clearing Force's car from the track!

Oh, no you are not the only one who still refers to top fuelers as rails or for that matter diggers or slingshots either. Wink

Now technically diggers and slingshots are the old front engine dragsters but, it's still acceptable to refer to fuelers as such.

BTW......they still do refer to funnycars as "floppers".
