Sadly just before 2 AM MaryPat got up to go to the bathroom and then get something from the kitchen and discovered our little Eskimo Spitz had passed away. She was only 6 years old.
2 days ago she miscarried (we didn't even know she was pregnant) but seemed to be doing ok.
She was a bit mopey but she had just lost babies so it was understandable. Yesterday she was kinda depressed but sociable at the BBQ. She really didn't want to come inside last night as we readied for bed but I brought her in.
She refused to come back to the bedroom (not typical at all for her) but we figured it was again just her being depressed. In the past when kittens had passed away she acted the same way.
The trauma and stress must have been too much for her. Bruce (our Aussie Shepherd) is just now realizing that she's gone and he seems a bit lost.
Goodbye little white dog. Rest in peace.
