It's not in black and white. The item is itself is black. Getting it that close up without the flash making 'gray' areas was hard. I even pointed the flash backward and it still threw light on it.
Twist is the closest so far with "mat" but one hint, it's not fabric of any sort. I guess I want you to name the material instead of the item now that I think about it.
