Three guns used. Bushmaster, and a Sig Sauer and a Glock. Handgun was used to off himself, Bushmaster for the massacre.

There are plenty of hit pieces in the news over the weekend on the mother. They're making her out to be a freaky gun nut who took the kids shooting.

She may have took him shooting, and he may have had multiple personalities, but that doesn't mean she was conscious of any kind of predisposition for violence. Unless that kind of report comes out and proves to be true, I'm going with mom was surprised as well.

I'm guessing she took the kid to the range to deal with his autism. I never heard anything about schizophrenia, I heard he had Aspergers Syndrome, a form of autism. She very well may have been misguided in teaching him to shoot thinking it would help bring him out of his shell or some other form of self help within the family to bolster the kid and make him feel like part of something instead of some outsider. We'll never know. She's dead and the news loves to dwell on the horrible.

President Obama is going to make good on making sure nothing like this happens ever again. Yeah sure he will. That asshole makes one impossible promise after another. You can't stop shit like this. Humans are awful and we are inventive, and creative and when one has the mind to do something fucked up, they find a way around the obstacles.

Some people are saying that if the principal was armed this wouldn't have happened. Bullshit. NO ONE expects a madman to walk into a school and start shooting. He would have been caught off guard and dead long before the thought of grabbing a gun came into his mind no matter what.
