The second time around I noticed the significance of all the costumes.
I suspect they had some way of individually stimulating each dog to bark/howl on cue, either through an ear piece, or by making each dog do each action, and then Photoshopping all the 'individual dogs into a platform, in order to make them all look like a choir.
I would have to study more closely and time the muzzle movements to the sounds to see if they really were above board here, but its too much trouble, even for my 'mechanically' oriented brain.
