Yeah, I got those links from the TV yesterday.
My garden is screwed.
The pool water will overflow and turn cold - swimming is over.
I'll be lucky if my roof holds up. $3000 deductible for hurricane damages. Thanks assholes at the insurance company. They're dropping us after this year expires too.
Got a ton of shit to stuff into my shed.
Got to take flags down.
Where am I going to hide my car from the trees!! I don't even have the permanent plates yet!
It's possible that thing is going to get close to you too LK.
LH is going to get hit up in New Hampshire - a rare occurance!
This is going to be Matt's first full force hurricane too. I think the last one he had been through was when he was still in the Navy and that was what was left of Andrew. The weather is saying how Gloria was the last one to hit this area that was this strong/big and it passed over Long Island. Dopes, no way. I was there, the eye passed over Staten Island. That's when we found that man hole sized snapping turtle washed into the road and saved it!
I so do not want to deal with this. Small hurricane easy - this one is totally inconvenient and we are broke this week too! I barely have enough money to go out and buy water and supplies should we lose electricity - which we will. I need 4 cat carriers in case we have to evac! Goddamnit I knew I shouldn't have put that off time and again.
Worse case we can chuck all the cats loose in the Mustang with the back seat folded flat so they can use the trunk for space and the back. I can chuck a litter box in there too. Daisy and Matt can take the truck and all waterpoof supplies in the bed of it and head inland for a few hours.
So, I get the job of taping up windows and taking down moveable items in the yard today. Matt does more tonight and then we sit and watch the weather channel for the storms track. I'm hoping that northern trough sends it farther east than they're saying.

I have no idea what you're talking about so here's a bunny with a pancake on it's head
