The ROLLER COASTER DATABASE has a ton of info, pictures and updates on what's open or closed regarding roller coasters all over the world.

Many of my favorite coasters at Great Adventure closed down since we last visited (damn, that was in 2003!), and some have been renamed.

Last night's trip was a practice run for Matt and the cameras too. He likes to give the finger and see if we can get a good pic of it. Got one on the Medusa ride then - now it's called [Image: 502.htm] and we got a good snap of Matt flipping the bird.

But El Toro stole my heart for wood coasters!

Superman is the best steel coaster, although slow, you ride on your belly and if you put your arms out and close your eyes, you feel like you're flying.

Now if you want to totally freak the fuck out.... Kingda Ka is it. 128 MPH and a 90º vertical drop. Shock We're hitting that one first thing next trip.

The new Green Lantern I just can't wrap my head around. It's a stand up coaster and I just can't see how it would be fun.

You can see all the coasters at GA HERE - What's your park?

One of these days I'm getting Matt out to Coney Island to ride the Cyclone. It's short, rickety and really fast!
