Ok everyone, I'm working on a really big project right now and I would like your help. This project is just for fun, so don't worry about any "need" to do this.

What I'd like is for everyone to list their top 5 favorite Authors, and also a couple of classical authors if you can think of them.

For myself, this would be my entry.

Top 5 favorite authors (for me its actually 7 since I can't pick JUST 5):
David Eddings
Anne McAffery
David Weber
Clive Cussler
R. A. Salvatore
Robert Jordan
Terry Goodkind

And for classical authors, I could think of 3 on the spot
Edgar Allen Poe
Sir Thomas Mallory
Homer

Thanks to anyone who participates with this Smile

Top 5 Authors:

Robert Heinlein
Jonathan Kellerman
Kathy Reichs
Piers Anthony

I'm drawing a blank on more.

Top 5 classic:

Orwell
Edgar Allan Poe

and this is where i'm kind of stuck.

I am enthralled with Dante Allegheri only because of his Divine Comedy, which I've read a couple of times.
Also, The stories of the Arabian Nights, told by Princess Shahrazad but she's not considered an author. The tales are translated and told and there are several translations.

Aesop - if you get the adult version of his fables they are quite interesting! By adult version I mean the original writings, not some porno version Tongue

Hmm, would H. G. Wells be considered classic you think?

Thanks TK. My laziness outweighed my desire to not look stoopid.
