Keeping it Live - takmark - 02-23-2010

As well as what else is on offer, I listen to a lot of live cuts on YouTube
These two live cuts are from the acclaimed U.K.tv show ..."Live At Abbey Road".Artists mostly from the U.K.& U.S. were filmed in the famous Studio 2 where 99% of The Beatles catalogue was recorded. To give you an idea of it's history, back in the day when Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band was being recorded....down the hall, Pink Floyd were recording, "Piper At The Gates Of Dawn....latterly, Floyd recorded "Dark Side Of The Moon" in the aforementioned studio2.

Please feel free to place your own choices of live performances

I should have mentioned earlier, a lot of my choices will be older...because I'm an old geezer

This is the thin white duke at the Olympia in Paris.

...........
The taller girl {then, Marcy Levi} who's givin' it large on backing vocals, and tambourine, co-wrote, 'Lay Down Sally'

Bassist and band leader for that tour, was the legendary U.S. bass player, Donald (Duck) Dunn {Read:Soul/R'n'B label, Stax} {Read: Booker T & The MG's}
