Alice is gone - webzdebs - 02-04-2010 Little Alice is gone she must have only just passed as she's still warm but shes gone for sure. This little girl was so sweet, she stole my heart for sure, but i kind of had a feeling something wasn't right with her when we had got her home and i realised that it wasn't just sleepiness she really wasn't very right - this was only confirmed when i spoke to another gerbil friend about her last saturday. I had a vet appointment for her and her sister tomorrow so am afraid it'll just be me and Bella who visit the vet to see what they say, thing is Bella looks perfectly fine it was really Alice i had wanted the vet to see because that would vindicate that there really was something wrong, I have a feeling that the vets gonna look at me like I'm a mad woman. RIP little Alice, play hard at the bridge, I can only hope your death was peaceful and that you didn't agonise at all. She has a face just like my little Zelda had. Kind of smunched up and cute all the time. Zelda went suddenly too. I think Zelda was a runt and a little retarded. Maybe that was Alice's case? They dont' live long like that. I've had many pets who just weren't right and had short lives. They all went suddenly too. It kind of eased it for me knowing they never suffered. I'm always delighted to have Eskie get up every morning to join me for breakfast (healthy option). I always worry when he take awhile to surface, but he always does. I just assumed it was her sleepiness in the shop at the time, well Dave insisted we have her so he's a bit gutted too Things are looking up for Bella though, she's gaining weight nicely and is going to be getting a friend in a couple of weeks once i'm sure she's ok, an older girl and a rescue at that
