A true legend of drag racing, Tom (The Mongoose) McEwen passed away 6-11-18 at age 81.
He gained the most notoriety by match racing against Don (The Snake) Prudhomme.

Watched him race many times at Bandimere, been in his pits. He was a nice guy, talked to a kid for quite a bit.

I spoke to him many times as both a kid and adult at Maple Grove and Englishtown. Yes, he was a very nice guy. He always had time for the fans.
