Have I done the right thing? Our neighbours son is a lazy towrag has worked since leaving school[he's 20]does not see need the to,fathered a child.Plus has a violet temper,this week I'd had enough and phoned the police.Took mother of child 6months away,Have not seen son since

You did the right thing. Don't regret it except you should regret that "violet" temper comment.
But seriously, fuck him. Someone should have popped that guy a few times to set him straight. His parents are to blame as well for raising an utter piece of garbage.
Sadly, everything over there will most likely go back to the same when they pay their fines and they return the parents.
Just be prepared for a confrontation when they get home. Keep the shotgun by the door

His temper is rather colourful hence violet lol It's not his parents fault its the grandparents spoilt him rotten gave him everything,which is why they here from just outside London
