I got to see him live in Philadelphia. Curly Neal was also on the team at the time.
He really propelled the Globetrotters into the spotlight in the 60's - 70's

Yeah I saw this today. I am not a fan of basketball in any way, but back in the day, these guys were like Evil Knevil when they were airing on TV. The world stopped to watch them

I would still be looking for him playing if I saw the Globetrotters. Meadowlark and Curly are the only ones I've ever known the names of.
