Okay so like 20 years ago.. I Met LKTraz.. When I met him.. him and computers just didn't mix. I fixed that.. So recently he took revenge on me.. We have been doing the basic cell phone thing for ages. Last year we went high tech with them and got a data plan for one hell of a price. 4 phones unlimited text. Unlimited minutes unlimited data.. $198. due to discounts for multi line and shit. So three months into having it.. I still had the attitude of eh it dials its good. I caught hell USE IT DAMN IT... unwittingly he created a monster. We had bought Atrix 2 smart phone with 8 gig of memory. Happy little phone with android 2.3.. none expanable jelly bean.. so hmm okay.. plus gorilla glass. Gorilla glass is a must on all a phones. Mary pat is murder on screens without it. So.. bing I started using this crappy thing.. I found google play... hmmm fun stuff now I don't do the porn crap and iF i want to play games I have, ps 2, ps 1, X box 360, wii, New atari classic console, sega classic console reboots, and a DS on lone.. NOT to mention a HP laptop gaming capable, so.. and if I want music do I really need it on my damn PHONE.. so what to do with this.. Well I need to know about .. schedules lists and hmm shopping.. Okay so I started loading it with stuff like that making it a working phone and then I discovered.. dun dun dun.. heh heh... KINDLE for the phone. About that time Mary pat said she wanted a tablet. I knew nothing about them so.. I started learning...
So This year as we were waiting for tax Money I had evaluated some very good TABLETS.. now you can all scream, and thats okay expressing your opinions is why I am in here... I bought a visual land pro 10D 1.2 gh with 1 g ram and 16 gb on board expandable with micros SD to 32 g SO.. This particular version has the 4.2 version of Jelly bean it can't get out of the factory fast enough to be new and beat version 4.3 out the door. I like what it comes pre loaded with however, WHY in dear god does it COME PRE-LOADED with ANGRY BIRDS seriously?
Also Could we just NOT do that?? While browsing apps today.. I did notice that amazingly a lot of the app pictures are aimed at third graders.... really? Now this concerns me as Mary pats 7 year old grand child recently asked for Christmas for her own tablet.. GOD! So.. either I am too old.. she is too OLD or this shit is seriously fucked up!
I am having a blast with all this technology.. but I do have a question... after all this mouth yapping... LKTRAZ bought bonafinde EXTREME high quality surgeprotector/power conditioners for our systems we are establishing charging stations in the house for safety.
So power and safety.. is NOT a question.. But software is.. besides google play.. where are you getting software? apps etc. is there some secret site. ?? My daughter turned me on to spotify and of course download.com or cnet. is always good. Any place else? I love new sites and I do browse all kinds of safe places but I am a virus freak I do not just crash into unsafe freaky places..

It is going to largely depend on what device you want it for. If you want recommendations for software in general... Sourceforge is always a good place to browse for free stuff before you start looking at paid shit.
For Android Apps, I limit myself to what is on Google Play, the Amazon App Store (if you have an Amazon account there is a free App of the day every day, some good, some shit..., but paid apps for free!), SlideMe, and the Opera Mobile Store
