What a waste of my time!
Supposed to be a remake / based on version of the original Saturday morning show by Sid & Marty Croft, this Will Ferrell version sucked big time.
The characters were not original, the way they got to the "land" was not original nor anything else.
Will Ferrell is the new Jim Carrey. The movie was all about him. Every aspect was revolved around him, his hokey jokes, dopey overacting and poor performance all in all.
I want my two hours back. This was God awful![/review]

Yep. It totally ruins a movie when it becomes all about the actor.
You see the new Scrooge movie out? The previews alone look stupid. Now you're telling me that Ebinezer Scrooge is to be a comedic character in this? No. It's all about Jim Carrey and his dopey ego and lame acting.
The only thing he was good in was The Truman Show.
Will Ferrell is on the same path. Every movie is predictible. Every joke, every plot, every story line... all about Will and his character being the main focus to the point the rest of the story is only a backdrop for his clowning around. And the clown isn't funny anymore because he's hammed it up to the point of boring and predictible.
