Oklahoma - Twitchin Kitten - 06-02-2013

You people been watching that shit going on since last week out there?

You couldn't get me to live out in the middle of the country if it was the last place to live. I'll sleep in the woods first. There are no mountains or large stretches of forest to break those storms up and you get not enough warning too. I'll keep my hurricanes thankyouverymuch.

We were discussing the tornado situation out there last night at a party.

Years ago there was less development and tornadoes could blow through and just rip up a fence or the occasional barn/farmhouse. Now there are so many more communities in tornado alley that the damage from storms is multiplied many-fold.

Yeah................I wanna move to the heart of tornado alley and live in a trailer park! NOT!!!!!!!!

I'll take hurricanes any day over a twister.

Yeah, at least we can get a week's warning and plenty of time to prep for a hurricane and then brace ourselves for the unavoidable damage to come. Tornadoes you get a warning about five minutes in front of them and there's no telling where they'll go.

any home built there should be code that it has to be an underground facility. I see no reason for above ground structures there. No wonder they're bitching the forests are depleting, they have to constantly keep rebuilding and using up the wood. Tongue

You get 'em up by you more often than I'd feel comfortable about Dylan.

We've had 1 really bad tornado in Michigan in my lifetime. As in, one that killed more than 1 person and me knowing it did. The only thing that makes that scary for me is that it killed someone less than three miles from my Mom's house. Of course, I had already left that area and was 125 miles away... so meh.
