What is CISPA and why should you care? <-- clicky

Does this bother anyone else but me? I can't stand hearing people say, "I got nothing to worry about if the gov't knows my business."

Discuss.

I'm against ANY means of the govt. or private firms which will allow them to dig into personal communications sans a warrant.

As is if there is a suspected attack they can go get a warrant to intercept relevant communications. This is part of the check and balance which prevents abuse (well at least it provides for legal backlash if the info is abused) by anyone.

CISPA circumvents that and so just isn't kosher as far as I'm concerned.

Well the fuck-wits in DC rammed this through while the bullshit in Boston was going down. They like to take advantage of when the news is busy with something big to take their eyes off politics while they whore a hot story.
