A day at the Sheep Dip - Rhubarb - 06-05-2012

The annual Sheep Dip Rally was held as usual at a pub out on the heathland. Live music, tattoo tent, bike parts and spares, tee-shirts, bar and fast food, tea tent and cupcakes........

No quite what my mother wanted to hear when I said we had been to the event. No1 son had got a camp permit to go but then had the offer of 2 days work at triple pay plus time off in lieu. So Mark and I went on the Kawasaki with our friends (Jeff's parents) Ray and Sue on their Harley .

Rough bunch? Nah... ever seen a biker getting his throat tattooed with a cupcake sat waiting for him on a teaplate?

I liked the band - local Heavy Metal group, but Mark and Ray didn't....so we had to go home.

That old BSA is NICE!

Why is it you always have to do what Mark wants? Couldn't he just go home alone on Ray's bike like a bitch and leave you his and you take his bike and Sue home? Or hitch a ride with someone cute?

He's so lucky you're nice!

Yeah, that BSA is crazy.
I'm sure there would be some nice guy there to offer his services and take you home.Wink

Well.......if you were offering Crazy

Remember I'm not allowed to ride and Sue can't! Those available were either too young/old/fat/gross/smelly (possibly) Beee

I think we went home with the best ones in the end, unless Sher was lending her lovely husband James (which I would heavily doubt)

I drove for 5 years with no license. I'd have driven home and risked it.

That guy on his knees does not look ugly- in fact, in that angle he kind of looks like Patrick Stewart, much younger. Biggrin

Hey, did they actually dip any sheep there? Why is it called the Sheep Dip run? Is there a farming history behind this thing?
