You might want to click on THIS LINK and get a rude awakening.

Anyone who thinks their privacy is safe over the internet is only fooling themselves. Social networking and un-secure wifi networks, large corporations who sell your information and more are out there using you to make money.

everyday, is another opportunity for you to lose yourself to someone else.

of course poor people like me are seldom the target of crooks at least in the virtual realm.

We have 'blocking agencys here.
My parents have just been sent a blockeer free for their phone and internet. The machine collects all the calls my parents have, if it is an unwanted call, my mother must hand up at once and then the gadget records the number and stops the number from calling again.

Most cold calls come from abroad since companies have a legal code of conduct in the UK. They break it the law can break them with some heavy fines. Companies don't even try.

The agency promise my parents will no longee get calls after about 12 months, but mum said the cold calls have already stopped, since October when they applied for it.

Trudi, don't let that fool you. England has NO privacy when it comes to many things. Your government can read your email without warrant or you even knowing it. Same for any parcel you receive, they can open it at will and tell you to eat shit for the reason why and no warrant or cause for concern needed. You also are the most photographed / video taped country in the world.

but those links are more for internet privacy and how when you think you're doing something safe, someone is hacking, tracking or breaking in on you and stealing your information.
